The National Service Scheme under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Govt. of India, popularly known as NSS was launched in Gandhiji's Birth Centenary Year 1969, in 37 Universities involving 40,000 students with primary focus on the development of personality of students through community service. Today, NSS has more than 3.2 million student volunteers on its roll spread over 298 Universities and 42 (+2) Senior Secondary Councils and Directorate of Vocational Education all over the country. From its inception, more than 3.75 crores students from Universities, Colleges and Institutions of higher learning have benefited from the NSS activities, as student volunteers.This college has also started the NSS department under Magadh university .
Practical works are an integral part of the syllabus for all science subjects. For this laboratories are the distinguishing feature where students come and learn practically. To provide first hand knowledge to the students our college has well equipped laboratories of Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Geography, Psychology and Home Science. The laboratories have modern equipments and apparatus. The amphitheater style-labs provide the most conducive atmosphere for dynamic and focused discussions. They have been designed to bring together analysis with action and are augmented by well-equipped facilities.The new practical means are provided time to time as per requirements so that the practical classes of the students be continue smoothly under the guidance of Lab-technicians and teachers.

All classrooms are airy, lighted environmentally free and well equipped. The students and teachers all feel better inside and outside the class rooms. The buildings contain toilets, spacious veramadas, electricity and all required means.
